Changing Gmail Settings

Changing Gmail Settings

I have been noticing that my gmail account was upgraded and had two new tabs instead of one for my inbox emails.
I noticed a lot of my emails that I normally read were going to the other tabs. I did not like the new gmail system and could not go back to my old system with one tab.
Then I got this email last night and it is extremely important that all gmail users read it  and take action and be sure all your leads and affiliates see it also I highly recommend you change your gmail settings and get rid of the other tabs - loosing income and sales
Here it is:

This is IMPORTANT if you are a GMAIL USER:

Google thinks they are making us more productive with Gmail's new default organizing system, but they are living in a fool's paradise. Dictating how things should be filtered in our inboxes is digital despotism, a form of technical tyranny where a company decides where our subscriptions should be sorted and how much focus they deserve. When I subscribe to things, especially training from people who I follow and learn from, I want to see them in my inbox, not filtered by an algorithm some kid at Google decided he or she prefers it. Besides, no default interface designed for the masses is going to make us more productive. For productivity is about how we handle our overall life agenda not just our inbox. If you receive emails from me and want to ensure you get my training emails and videos in the future, including all my announcements giving away my books and programs, then take immediate action:
  1. Open your Gmail and notice the new “tabbing” setup.
  2. Click the “Promotions” tab.
  3. Look for any emails from me. If you see one, drag it to the “Primary” folder.
  4. A question will pop up asking if you want this done automatically in the future. Click YES.
We really appreciate your help on this. We want to stay in touch!
Personally, we'm not allowing them to control our inbox. If you want to completely remove these new tabs – we sure did – then:
  1. Go to the Settings box in the upper right hand corner of your inbox and choose “Settings.”
  2. Click on the “Inbox” tab, then unselect all categories except “Primary.”
If you have your own subscribers and friends lists, then you might want to tell them about this. Otherwise, your emails to them will likely be buried in the Promotions tab and they won't see them. Boo Google, boo on you!
There it is unselect those other tabs and get back to business
